It can be banned in schools, libraries, book stores, or any other place?
Is the book "The Face on the MIlk Carton" by Caroline B. Cooney banned ?
Books aren't banned across all libraries, stores, etc. in the United States. Instead, books are "challenged" by a concerned reader or parent, and the library can choose to remove that book from its shelves (this might happen on a statewide or district-wide basis). "Face on the Milk Carton" is frequently challenged, but it isn't outright banned.
Bookstores can sell whatever books they choose - a company may choose not to sell a certain book because it doesn't reflect the company's values or because they deem it offensive, but in this country books are not banned from stores.
Reply:I'm 18
When I was in junior high school the book was banned
I dont remember why
and this is in Idaho so it was 3 years ago to 6 years ago
I remember we had to study a thing of which books were banned and why
