How do i change the colour & face design of my leather binder without damaging the material?

Hey guys,

i was given a leather binder as a present but i want to make good use of it becuase it is very handy to have.

the only problem i am having with it is the way it looks....

.... in simple terms it is EXPTREMLY UGLY...

...mainly becase it is a big, brown, ugly leather casing.

I wanted to know if it is possible to change the colour of this case to something else without damaging the leather materail?

(by the way it is fake leather)

and i was thinking of adding a few of my own specail designs onto the face of the book....can this be done?, or will i need to keep day dreaming for the day when it will look pretty?

How do i change the colour %26amp; face design of my leather binder without damaging the material?
To change the color of the "fleather", you can use Kiwi shoe polish. Follow the directions on the tin, in about a week you should have a nice new color. You can add what ever other designs you want later, just be sure to put a coat of clear shoe polish on top or else you'll get color all over you.
Reply:You could try painting your own print onto the casing, to add a little more style. Using a acrylic paint and some sort of sealing agent, to seal the paint. Apply your design and colour you wish. See your local craft store for ideas.
