What does it mean when the smiley face is smiling in your yahoo adress book? Why arent they all smiling?

And dont answer "cause they're just sad."

What does it mean when the smiley face is smiling in your yahoo adress book? Why arent they all smiling?
Because that person that is attached to the smiley face is online.
Reply:The smiley face means that that person is logged into Yahoo at that time. The gray/ not smiley ones are not logged in.
Reply:They represent different moods. Just use the one that you fits your mood at that particular time.
Reply:go to yahoo help amd ask them
Reply:Because the ones in your address book that are yahoo has a smiley face if they've signed on to yahoo.com and well the ones that are frowning are offline.
Reply:It means the person is online.
Reply:It means that particular person is signed into Yahoo messenger. It's a helpful little tool to use. By checking your address book, you can tell whether any of your friends or family are available to chat, or whether someone you would rather Not chat with is signed in. Makes it easier to decide whether or not to go through the trouble of opening up Messenger.
Reply:This is a good question and I think the answer is that you can send that person an "IM" (instant message). I've never used it, but have read that is what it's for.

I see in the answers above me that it means the person is on line. There is always a smiley face next to my husbands name, and I know he is not on line because I'm the one using the computer and we only have one. Please explain this.

Thanks
