The title of a book/film about a child who draws picture of house which has a face of a boy in window?

The picture drawn of the house has no face in the window originaly and then has a mysterious face looking out the bedroom window, back at the artist, the boy in the drawn house cannot walk as he has been ill for a long time, outside the house the house is encircled by a ring of stone monoliths which i think each have one eye, they start to encroach on the house threatening to invade it. This was a book/tv show first, possibly written in the 70s and i saw the film of it about 8 years ago on video, oh yes there is also something about a bycicle in the hose too.
