In my address book, what do the yellow faces mean, & what do the gray faces mean?

I sometimes find a yellow face next to some of my contacts. At the same time, others have a gray face.

yellow faces mean those ppl are online grey faces mean they are offline or using stealth settings

Reply:yellow faces mean online, your contacts is using their messenger.. You could w/ them, right there and then instantly. Send them message, if they response then start chatting w/ them.. Gray faces mean they are offline. They don/t open their yahoo messenger w/ voice. But there at a time they are online but on hiding.They don't want others to see them online but only to the person they are chatting w/.See messenger word above your your id. click then go down to word status, then comes the choices you are going to select such as, 'avalable, open talk, on phone, show i'm not visible, etc... then if you a message there will a status word beside your id saying wat you have selected.
