I need the algebraic expression for this. I can't figure it out for the life of me. I am thinking you have to divide in 1/2?

Transform observation into algebra. If the left page is (X) then the right page must be (X + 1). Now, do it.
Reply:x + (x+1) = 525


2x + 1 = 525


2x = 524


x = 262


262 and 263
Reply:x = page 1, y = page2


y = x + 1


x + y = 525


Therefore


x + (x + 1) = 525


2x + 1 = 525


2x = 524


x = 262


Therefore


y = 262 + 1


y = 263


The two page numbers would be 262 and 263
